Hi y'all!
I've missed my friends and thought I'd pop in to say Hi and see how you are all doing.
Even though most of us are experiencing a rather uncomfortable heat wave, our garden is enjoying every moment. We just managed to put the leaf humus mulch down this weekend! The bad thing was we sure needed to weed a lot beforehand; the good thing is I don't plan on needing to weed for a long while!
The Lily Show has begun in earnest here on the North coast. The bulbs were purchased from Costco this year (yep, really) and we are having a banner year for blooms, although they are blooming a good three weeks earlier than normal.
Here are the fleurs:
So, how are your gardens doing in all of the heat?
I'd love to hear about them!
I can imagine the wonderful heady smell from the lillies. They are beautiful. You will sleep well following all that weeding.
ReplyDeleteMy city garden is pots of various types of flowers, which need lots of watering in this heat.
Enjoy your week. Happy Canada Day and July 4th.

Dear Annie, We have missed you too. I have also had good luck with bulbs from Costco, i.e.Rembrandt Tulips. The creamy yellow with peach lilly is especially beautiful.
ReplyDeleteMy garden is coming along but a little late this year.
Absolutely GORGEOUS! Thank you so much for adding this beautiful post to Fresh-Cut Friday! :)

Hello Annie,
ReplyDeleteThe lilies are stunning.
I hope we don't lose touch now you are involved with Design Cleveland. Since returning from France, I've found it difficult to re-align my sleep patterns and blog, but I will try to stay in contact with you one way or another.
Bisous.
Plants are good representations of relaxation. Maybe I need to give some of these flowers to my friend who suffers from sleeping naked disorder to help him achieve peace in sleeping..
ReplyDeleteThank you for the read. Honestly you covered the topic and broadly examined all areas. If i was to write this i would have done a few things differently myself but you have definitely inspired me to get into the world of blogging.
