I just discovered the paintings of Janice Wong, a visual artist in Vancouver, BC. Wow! Her color choices are right out of my favorites list.
Most of her paintings combine her serenely beautiful colors with floating geometric shapes. Her mediums include oil, metal leaf, acrylic glazes and wax on wood panels. She also creates monotypes, consisting of a painted image that is transferred to dampened paper by hand which results in the pigment being pressed into the paper's fibers, allowing a translucent result.
Her paintings are collected and exhibited throughout the U.S., Canada, Europe and Asia. To read more about Janice Wong, go here.
