We love to re-purpose wood pieces and use them in new ways. We have made several items out of old wood and doors. The headboard in my son's bedroom is an old door from my grandmother's childhood home.

I would not say that we have any 'treasures' in our house, but one of the piece we really like is a large coffee table made by my 'better half'. The top is an old English 19th century door from his London town house.

I love to repurpose unusual and unexpected items. One of my favorites is an old greenhouse door from an old local nursery. Large with 9 panes of glass in the top and slides on a barn track it hangs in our living room closing off the hallway to upstairs. The wall it hangs on is done in a chocolate brown metallic plaster with an elegant scroll design behind it. I love the juxtaposition of the old and rustic with the new and elegant.
