Letting In the Light

Loving how this conservatory canopy bathes the room with a veiled light, the solution of Parisian designer, Sarah Lavoine

While I prefer lots of light indoors, with the direct sunlight during the summer months, it can be a bit too much. Creating the sheer Roman blinds and draping the entire window roof with said fabric: brilliant.

Of course, the modern decor is sleek and elegant...

Have you ever had a room with a ceiling of windows?

  1. Hi Annie, those canopies are cool. A roof with windows will be too much for me too, first because of the sun in summer, we have hot summers here in Utah, then too much snow in winter, we would be freezing, brrrr. But those rooms that you're showing us are very dark and with dark furniture, it works perfectly for them.

  2. Dear Annie,
Beautiful canopies and glass ceilings! The only window on the ceiling we've ever had was in the dentist office. Let's just say the experience is not as whimsical or comforting as these (if you know what I mean).
Hope you had a wonderful wednesday.
    XO,
    Renee and Angela
