A Must See

if you live in the Houston area: Melanie Millar's Open House this Saturday, 
March 10, 2012 in the Spring Street Studios.

Melanie has returned to her "Line of Beauty" series, where she explores the ornamental form (of course, one of my favorite subjects). The depth and hidden interests she achieves in her paintings can only be obtained with layers of glaze and paint. Come admire with me...first, the tone-on-tones...





and then in full color.




  
Melanie's open house is this Saturday, March 10th, from 2 til 5 p.m.

    Pretty amazing, Annie. I didn't know of her, and her studio is not far away at all. I hope to take a quick run over to see in person & say hello. Thanks for the heads up. xx's
