Open and Eclectic

Home to Muriel Bardinet, the French interior designer and owner of the antiques and contemporary furniture showroom, Dune 234, the apartment is situated in an old orphanage in the heart of Brussels.  Extensive renovations returned the beauty of the wood floors, high ceilings and distressed stonework.

One of my favorite features in the apartment is the wall of re-purposed windows that was installed to create a new bedroom. The old industrial windows allow for as much natural light as possible to enter the space.

The wood floor's warm honey color helps to keep the rooms cozy, even with the high ceilings.

The kitchen gives off a totally different vibe. Its large windows connect it with the outdoors.

Love the floor with the steel grey wall of cabinets.

One feels a touch of Morocco in the bathroom. You just have to touch those smooth (tadelakt?) walls!

What is your favorite feature?
