Gracefully Aging

Gracefully aging... hydrangeas, that is. This is one of my favorite times of the year in the garden. While the hydrangeas are so colorfully cheerful and perky when they are beginning their blooms, I find their aging to be most graceful. Subtlety becomes their statement now.

Here they have dried, featuring their pastel colors.

What is your favorite in the garden right now?

and to Show and Tell Friday at Cindy's My Romantic Home.

  1. Oh dear, my garden is sadly lacking in colour right now. I have some hydrangeas, but non as beautiful as these! Thank goodness for the cosmos, dahlias and asters.

  2. Annie, we love hydrangeas. It's one of our favorite flowers. The colors of these are so beautiful and would be great to bring indoors.

  6. I Love Hydrangeas but alas, they don't grow well in the Desert. So my favorite blooms this time of year in my Garden are the vivid Cactus Blossoms.
