Gold Crush

Even though gold goes in and out of vogue, it is always a favorite of mine.
The funkier, the better!
Speaking of funky, how would you have liked your plaster crown molding like this?

The Gold Snake by Frenchman Mathias Kiss - a private installation

Melanie Turner's statement with the fab patinaed mirrors and the gilded polyptych painting by Tom Swanston for the 2011 Decorators' Show House & Gardens.

A gold leaf schaibin table, created by applying torn pieces of gold leaf rather than the more familiar square pieces.

 Why not gild some plates?

Always precious- a painted and gilded side table

What is your preference- gold or silver leaf?

  1. Gorgeous images. It depends on the space. I even love the combination on the panels!

  3. I like the gold distressed dresser in the last photo, not keen on the gold snake molding, but it's all a matter of the space it's in. Thanks for sharing with us. Sharon
