Softly Mottled Patinas

Lovely patinas in the blues and terracotta today...

Such beautiful wood on this barn, photographed by Deborah Silver, of Detroit Garden Works, over at Dirt Simple.

Today, I'll be working on the second of two outdoor weddings this weekend. Yesterday's storms came through at the most inopportune moment, but with much good humor and hard work by all of the behind-the-scene staff, the wedding turned out beautifully, if not memorably! Of course, photos were the last things on our minds, but I do wish we could have had the whole scene recorded. Whew!
What are you doing today?

  3. We love time worn patinas...especially with blue. We get so excited when we find a great piece with a patina like this. Hope the rain holds off today and the wedding goes well.
